About

NinHost was orignally started in July 2004 as a hosting service for Nintendo Fansites (NinHost is a play on words of Nintendo). It was a simple service first of all, you sent me an email and I signed you up manually. I was soon getting fed up of this, so I coded a php script to handle signups, along with a new layout. It worked well enough, but there were still a few security and compatibility issues with the whole site. I then went into version 3 around September/October 2004.

The service was in very good use until disaster struck. My account was suspeneded, but for no apparent reason. I think the server was removed and the hosting company went bust. Now I had to find a new host and a new domain. Around Christmas Day 2004 the site went back up as version 3.5, with no changes, but all the data was lost. There were new forums too. Later on at the start of 2005 a support system was added with live support and trouble ticket abilities to supplement the forums. And then disaster struck again...

NinHost had been hosting ~70 sites which I added to WHM manually via applications from the forums. My host was hacked and they stopped hosting. I had to find another host and fast, within 3 days we were back up and running, but yet to accept signups. I bought Whois.Cart() and put that up. I then went on and created a free.cPanel() script which worked well until a month later NinHost was suspended and I deleted all the account.

And more than a year and a half on from when I first started NinHost version 1 and more than a year on from when I started NinHost version 3 comes this, NinHost version 4. I wonder how I\'ll get people to use this service.
